Waypoint Preschool has been conducting preschool in person since September 2020. In order to continue to operate as safely as possible, we continue our commitment to our preschool community by adhering to the policies and procedures of our local, state, and federal guidelines. The following changes have been established in accordance with the NCDHHS Child Care Toolkit and are how we will continue to function until further notice.
Daily Health Screenings:
Parents will answer questions related to symptoms and Covid exposure for their children daily before entering the school building.
Face Covering Guidelines:
As of April 11, 2022, Waypoint Preschool is mask optional for students and staff unless there has been a known exposure to Covid-19. See the director for details should your child or any family member be exposed to someone who has tested positive for Covid-19. Waypoint Preschool reserves the right to reinstate the required masking policy should case levels rise significantly, in the case of classroom exposures, or if recommended by the NC Department of Health and Human Services.
A complete description of our Covid-19 protocols including procedures regarding return to school after illness are found in the 2022-2023 Parent Handbook. Please email us for a copy.
